November 28, 2017
ISO-New England said the region has more than enough power to meet customer demand this winter. At normal winter temperatures, demand would be slightly less than 22,000 MW of generation, ISO-NE forecast, while extreme weather would require 31,000 MW. The grid operator said total resources were 32,521 MW. However, it added that there were a number of factors that could challenge operations.
