Chicago Cooks as Summer Arrives
June 01, 2020
Above normal temps arrived in key northern cities last week. Chicago saw Cooling Degree Days (CDDs) that were 47 above normal. This erased the -26 deficit to the 10-year average that was built over the previous 7 weeks. Philadelphia, Boston and New York City also experienced warm temps in the week ending May 30. Houston was near normal, but Dallas saw its coolest week since the summer season began in April.
