Economists Fear Recession

The latest National Association of Business Economists survey highlights an elevated risk of a recession. More than half of the 60 respondents in the January survey put the odds of a 2023 recession at 50% or higher. Despite a belief that inflation is easing, economists highlight downside risks including higher interest rates and costs.
