As part of the event, Burhan Koc, Director of Sustainability and Renewable Energy Solutions at ENGIE, will lead Workshop E at 11:15 a.m. titled Turning Energy Challenges into Economic Opportunities: The Formula Forward for Sustainable Energy Solutions in Manufacturing.
The session will address how to transform industry challenges into opportunities through the Formula Forward – a unique approach to that moves away from traditional strategies focused on managing price alone and towards solutions that reduce usage and demand. Companies can better manage price and quantity consumed while creating the economic value required to invest in emerging and traditional renewable energy offerings.
Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of how to achieve financial and environmentally responsible objectives through sustainable energy programs – and why it makes a lot of sense to leverage a formulaic approach to building custom environmentally responsible solutions.
Koc is experienced in developing commercial solutions that align emerging offsite renewable opportunities with commodity product offerings. He also teaches two energy-specific Executive MBA courses for the University of Houston’s C.T. Bauer College of Business Global Energy Management Institute. Koc has worked for nearly two decades in various commercial functions of the industry, including supply, trading, structuring, portfolio management, business development, and origination.
