Pennsylvania Leads Electricity Exporters

According to EIA, Pennsylvania was the largest net exporter of electricity from 2013 to 2017. The state sent an annual average of 59 million MWh outside the state. Washington D.C., Maryland and Massachusetts were the top three electricity importers. Washington had net electricity imports that equaled 100% of its consumption while Maryland and Massachusetts were net importers of nearly 50% of their respective consumption.
