Risk On in ERCOT This Week

Energy buyers in ERCOT showed an increased interest in index and/or flex products this week. Their appetite for risk increased from eleven to eighteen percent week-over-week in terms of pricing requests. It was the highest ratio for this market since the week beginning February 20. NYISO customers still have a slight lead overall compared to other markets, but took a conservative step in this report.

The risk appetite gauges above reflect the mix of fixed, flex and index volume that were priced on behalf of customer requests in the period. Total annual MWh priced represents 218,413,979 for customers with peak demand above 750 KWh.
