Renewable Procurement Gets More Strategic
Renewable energy remains a priority for many organizations. The bigger consideration today is how businesses are evaluating those opportunities.
According to the 2026 Business Energy Census, 73% of respondents said customers remain willing to pay some premium for renewable energy. At the same time, the findings suggest organizations are bringing greater financial discipline to energy decision-making, balancing sustainability objectives with cost management, operational priorities, reliability considerations, and long-term business performance.
The annual report, developed by ENGIE with Energy Research Consulting Group (ERCG), offers a data-backed view into how customer priorities around energy planning are evolving.
