ENGIE Advances First Offshore Wind Farm in Poland

ENGIE closed out 2025 with a major milestone in the global renewable transition: the company achieved financial close on its first offshore wind farm in Poland, marking a significant step in expanding clean‑energy capacity across Europe’s fastest‑growing offshore market.

The project strengthens ENGIE’s international renewables portfolio at a time when corporate buyers worldwide are seeking stable, long‑term access to carbon‑free power. Offshore wind, with its high-capacity factors and consistent output, plays a critical role in balancing grids with increasing shares of solar and onshore wind.

Once online in 2028, the wind farm will clean power to roughly 500,000 Polish households.

For commercial and industrial energy users, this type of development helps support a more resilient global chain for renewable electricity, even outside their immediate region.
