Customers Help Stabilize ERCOT Grid

Commercial customers of ENGIE Resources have answered the call, stepping up to help stabilize the ERCOT grid during this period of extreme heat and demand. With ENGIE’s LoadFlex solution, some of our largest customers have shed 100% of their load when called upon. On average, customers have shed about 50% with the low end near 30%.

With LoadFlex, commercial customers receive financial incentives to reduce loads in a program that initiates with a Day-Ahead notification and predictive event hours. A minimum capacity of 1MW is required to participate.
