Daikin Selects ENGIE to Power All Texas Facilities
September 25, 2025
ENGIE is proud to announce a clean energy agreement with Daikin, a global leader in air conditioning manufacturing. The duo reached a five-year agreement in which Daikin will source 100% renewable electricity for all of its Texas facilities, including the Daikin Texas Technology Park (DTTP). DTTP is Daikin’s largest manufacturing site and North American headquarters.
This milestone builds on Daikin’s recent installation of a solar array at DTTP, which powers the facility’s central chiller plant and supports grid integration.
The initiative brings Daikin closer to its goal of making the DTTP a Net Zero Factory by 2030 and supports the company’s global Environmental Vision 2050. Together, these efforts reflect a broader strategy shaped by a two-year collaboration with ForeFront Power to evaluate energy usage, sustainability goals, and procurement planning. The result is a forward-looking approach that advances Daikin’s environmental goals while reinforcing its leadership in sustainable manufacturing and corporate responsibility within the HVAC industry.
Ten new air conditioning units will be sold every second around the world between now and 2050, and without action to address energy efficiency, energy demand for space cooling will more than triple by 2050.
The Daikin family of brands includes Goodman, Amana®, and Quietflex.
