ERCOT Back in the Mix

Buyers and brokers in ERCOT jumped back into the risk pool this week as they showed a 10% interest in index/flex products. This comes after several weeks of near zero appetite in risk and an overwhelming interest in fixed price solutions.

The risk appetite gauges above reflect the mix of fixed, flex, and index volume that was priced on behalf of customer requests in the period. The total annual MWh priced represents 97,544,218 for customers with peak demand above 750 KWh.
