ERCOT Buyers Reverse Course

Energy buyers in ERCOT reversed course as they cut their risk appetite in half week-over week. Showed an increase interest in index and/or flex products this week. Product interest in the other markets was nearly unchanged, but ERCOT’s drop from 18% to 9% is a significant adjustment.

The risk appetite gauges above reflect the mix of fixed, flex and index volume that were priced on behalf of customer requests in the period. Total annual MWh priced represents 206,540,778 for customers with peak demand above 750 KWh.
