ERCOT Says Reserves Adequate

ERCOT’s Seasonal Assessment of Resource Adequacy (SARA) paints a strong summer picture year-over-year. The grid operator points to recent extreme conditions and the grid’s reliability. Reserve margin is down from previous forecasts, but at 22.8% it is still more than last summer’s 15.7%. This summer’s peak demand is forecast at 77,317 MW. ERCOT expects 91,392 MW of available resources to meet this load.
