Gas Futures Update

Natural gas futures have rolled into a new month, and the story is similar to 30 days ago. Prices are down in 2025 and 2026 strips, but the story changes in 2027 and beyond. EIA predicts a slight decrease in U.S. natural gas consumption in 2026, due in part to expected milder winter weather. However, for 2025, EIA is forecasting a 1% increase year-over-year and a record of 91.4 bcf/d.
