Gas Glut
May 01, 2023
Less natural gas was withdrawn from storage this winter than in the last seven years. Mild winter temps and lower natural gas consumption drove down overall U.S. natural gas consumption in January and February. Nat gas consumption averaged 106.8 bcf/d, its lowest January volume since 2017. February gas consumption averaged 104.5 bcf/d, its lowest February volume since 2018. (Source: EIA)
