GDF SUEZ Subsidiary Schedules Instructional Webinar to Assist Business and Institutional Customers in Penelec and Met-Ed Service Territories to Prepare for Electricity Competition
Philadelphia – November 30, 2010 – GDF SUEZ Energy Resources NA, the retail energy business of GDF SUEZ Energy North America, announced today it will host a webinar on December 8 to help businesses and institutions in the Pennsylvania Electric (“Penelec”) and Metropolitan Edison (“Met-Ed”) service territories prepare for the expiration of regulated electricity rate caps on January 1, 2011.
The one-hour event, which begins at 10 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, will feature David Braun, Regional Vice President, PJM, of GDF SUEZ Energy Resources. Braun is a recognized expert in a comprehensive range of subjects related to competition and the expiration of rate caps in Pennsylvania. Topics he will present in the webinar include:

- Determining price risk tolerance
- Managing volatility and risk in electricity pricing
- Understanding the fine print and knowing how to identify hidden costs and fees in a contract
- What to look for in a prospective retail electric provider and what questions to ask all potential suppliers
