After six weeks into the summer cooling season, Houston has taken a sizeable lead as the hottest competitive market in terms of Cooling Degree Days (CDDs). The Bayou City has recorded 93 more CDDs compared to its 10-year average as of May 16 data. Key northern markets are registering a mild start to summer and are below historic norms.
