Industrial Production Bounces Back

The U.S. Industrial Production Index for June climbed to 97.5 from 92.4 in May. The index topped most estimates and is the second consecutive monthly increase after hitting a low of 91.2 in April. Readings above 100 indicate economic growth. Aside from the current COVID-19 related economic environment, the index has not been this low since late 2011.
