Kendal~Crosslands Communities Celebrates Earth Day with New Wind Energy Initiative

Kennett Square, PA. (April 22, 2025) In celebration of Earth Day, Kendal~Crosslands Communities is proud to announce a significant step towards sustainable practices by securing an adder to our electric bill that sources renewable energy and Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) from ENGIE’s Priddy Wind Project. This initiative will offset electrical usage with clean, renewable wind energy, reinforcing their commitment to environmental stewardship.

ENGIE’s Priddy Wind Project, located in Texas, is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to harnessing wind power to generate electricity. By locking in this adder, the community will directly contribute to wind energy production, reducing their reliance on non-renewable sources and minimizing our carbon footprint.

“This achievement is a testament to our ongoing dedication to sustainability and the practice of one of our core values - stewardship,” said Lisa Marsilio, Chief Executive Officer. This accomplishment was made possible by the enthusiastic support and involvement of residents and staff. Their collective efforts have been instrumental, demonstrating the power of community in action in supporting positive environmental change.

“We are thrilled to be part of the Priddy Wind Project initiative,” said Seth Beaver, Vice President of Community Operations. This Earth Day, the residents and staff will celebrate their commitment to sustainability and the incredible teamwork and dedication of community members. “Together, we are making a meaningful impact,” said Marsilio.
