Just as the winter heating demand season (Nov-Mar) kicks in, working gas in storage is back above the five-year historical range. As we look at stats for the first week in November dating back to 2010, the 2024 total of 3,974 bcf exceeds all but three years. Only 2015, 2016 and 2020 saw more gas in the ground as November began. Mild weather and robust production continue to exert downward pressure on prices.
