NYISO Announces Record For Wind Power Generation

NYISO announced that on Oct. 30, electricity generated by wind power hit a record output of 1,622 MW, surpassing the previous mark of 1,574 MW that was set on March 2, 2017. When overall wind production peaked at 1,622 MW, it provided 12 percent of all energy generation in New York. The record output represented 89 percent of the 1,827 MW of the state’s installed wind capacity.
