No region in the U.S. stands to gain as much from offshore wind as New England. Massachusetts has the potential to generate the most offshore wind of any state. Oceana estimates that the state can generate 130% of its current electricity generation. Maine has the highest ratio of potential offshore wind power to its current demand.
