PJM Deal Flow

July 14, 2025

PJM/MISO deal flow dropped off prior to July 4th weekend and continued at below average pace through the week ending 7/11/2025. Customers did not show buying interest as the market sold off around July 4, but the ENGIE Pricing Desk is fielding increased executable requests with customers pulling the trigger on fixed-price deals Monday 7/14/2025.

PJM Cal 2026 West Hub On Peak sold off to the 63.75 area around July 4 where it seems to have found support. Cal 2026 has traded up to 65.25 Monday 7/14/2025.

PJM issued Hot Weather Alerts last week for its Mid-Atlantic and Southern regions. Forecasted peak for those days was still below the projected peak demand of 156,000 MW for summer 2025.

The National Hurricane Center is watching an area in the Eastern Gulf for tropical development. The system has not reached tropical storm strength as of Monday afternoon.

The balance of July 2025 temperature forecast is for above normal temps for PJM/MISO and the Northeast.
