Small Business Outlook Improves

The NFIB (National Federation of Independent Businesses) Optimism Index increased to 100.2 in August, up from 98.8 in July. The index is slightly above the long-term average of 98.4. The monthly report was a mixed bag as more owners believe it is a good time to expand while expectations regarding the improvement of the economy and higher sales declined.
