Spark Spreads Spike Y-O-Y

Spark spreads for the last week in May tell mostly a different story in 2021 versus 2020. Other than Midwest (IL), there is a significantly stronger business case for natural gas generators to buy gas and produce electricity. Houston leads the way with a spark spread of $11.56/MWh more than a year ago.
