What Would Fracking Ban Look Like?

As major U.S. elections draw closer, fracking bans are floated and gaining headlines. Are there reliable projections of what such a ban would do to natural gas prices? While a ban on federal land is more likely than a total restriction, some sources have offered projections on the impact to natural gas markets. Forbes projects a bump to $5.50/mmbtu with a domestic shortfall of 17 bcf/d. The Global Energy Institute projects a 324% increase.
