March 29, 2021
With only four days of data remaining in the winter of 2020-2021, it’s certain that this year will again be one of the warmest on record as measured by Heating Degree Days (HDDs). According to NOAA data through March 27, the six major markets served by ENGIE Resources will finish the November - March winter heating season well below historic averages. The two-week period ending February 20 will be remembered for extreme cold and 422 and 495 HDDs above normal respectively. However, all other weeks this winter averaged 161 HDDs below normal.
