PJM Says It Has More Than Enough Power To Meet Summer Demand

PJM reported it has enough power to meet anticipated peak demand this summer. The grid operator said that it expected demand to hit 153,000 MW, and that it has 185,804 MW of installed generating capacity available – and can call on an additional 9,120 MW of demand response resources. The 29 percent reserve margin is significantly higher than the required margin of 16.6 percent.
