Forget Recharging EVs, Swap Batteries

The challenge of long charging times for electric vehicle batteries may soon be old news. Instead of recharging the battery, swap it for another battery at a swapping station. The concept is underway in select markets where Electric Vehicle (EV) buyers do not own the battery in their vehicle. Battery-as-a-service is a subscription program that separates battery ownership from the EV. The process of battery replacement can take as little as 10 minutes.
