Damp air with high humidity combined with foggy, rainy weather, and icing in winter weather can cause wind turbine performance issues. Sub-zero temperatures and humid air can cause ice to form on the wind turbines, which changes the aerodynamics, sometimes to the point where blades catch little or no wind.
