LNG: We’re Number 1

The U.S. has become the world’s leading exporter of LNG for the first time. In December, the U.S. topped Qatar as exports from Sabine Pass and Freeport helped offset an energy crisis in Europe. Maintaining the top spot will be a challenge as Qatar has major expansion projects underway. LNG exports now represent 13% of U.S. natural gas production.
